At St. Theresa College Middle School, we have recently organised a special activity centered around the concept of ‘Pay It Forward’, aiming to foster a culture of kindness and empathy among our students.
Prior to the commencement of this activity, students were immersed in a preparatory phase during which they were shown inspiring videos and listened to heart-warming stories about various acts of kindness. The main event spanned two weeks, during which students embarked on a journey of spreading kindness. Each class was given several cards containing different acts of kindness. The essence of the activity involved performing these acts of kindness and paying them forward by encouraging others to do the same.
After completing these acts of kindness, students documented their experiences by writing them on a cardboard sheet. These sheets were then made into vibrant pinwheels. The spinning motion of these pinwheels represents how acts of kindness have a ripple effect when spread, touching and positively impacting others’ lives.
A special assembly was held to celebrate the culmination of this initiative. A representative from each class, proudly held up the pinwheel showcasing the collective effort of the students in spreading positivity and goodwill.
