Reading Recovery is a school-based intervention programme in English designed to meet the needs of children who have the lowest achievement in literacy learning within a specific 6-month age range in Year 2.
Following the issue of the EOI “The Reading Recovery Teachers Training Course 2024” by the National Literacy Agency (NLA) within the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation (MEYR), in collaboration with the Directorate for Educational Services, there were seven teachers who applied to follow this programme.
Following a 4-day assessment training programme in February 2024, the teacher participants will now embark on a learning journey, consisting of 17 sessions, combining theory, practice, and observations within their community of learners.
