GLOBE Malta is pleased to share the results of the 2025 International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS), a global platform that allows GLOBE students to showcase their scientific research, apply GLOBE protocols, and receive valuable feedback from international scientists and judges.
The IVSS provides students with a unique opportunity to experience the scientific process firsthand. They learn how to ask questions, collect and analyse data, and communicate their findings. Reports are reviewed by teams of scientists and educators, who provide constructive feedback and award stars and badges based on specific criteria.
This year, seven research reports were submitted from GLOBE Malta. For the first time, Gozo College, Karmni Grima Primary School, Għarb, Gozo College, Mons. Giov. Andrea Vella Primary School, Żebbuġ and Gozo College, Peter Paul Grech Primary School, Kerċem took part in the IVSS. The other schools included:
- St Michael School, Santa Venera (5th year)
- Gozo College, Sir Arturo Mercieca Primary School, Rabat (4th year)
- St. Clare College, Madonna tal-Mensija Primary School, San Ġwann (3rd year)
- Gozo College, Ġużè Aquilina Primary & Special Unit, Sannat (3rd year)
