Lifelong Learning in Action: Celebrating Success and Looking Ahead

Over the past year, the Lifelong Learning Directorate has continued to make remarkable strides in advancing adult education and personal development. Some of the Events hosted by DLE where the Lifelong Learning Open Days in Gozo and Malta, which took place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Gozo College Middle School in Victoria, Gozo, and on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Lifelong Learning Centre in Msida, Malta, respectively.

These vibrant events offered interactive workshops, exhibitions of learner and educator projects, and showcased a broad spectrum of adult education courses starting from language and digital skills to personal development and vocational training.

As part of the larger Public Service Expo, at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali which ran from Wednesday, May 21 to Sunday, May 25, 2025, the Directorate for Lifelong Learning and Employability hosted an engaging stand within the Education and Youth section, drawing hundreds of visitors keen to explore flexible learning pathways, upskilling opportunities, and the official 2025–26 course prospectus launching in June.

The combined series of events underscored Malta’s commitment to inclusive, lifelong education and its role in empowering learners across all ages and backgrounds. Through a series of innovative programmes and dedicated outreach efforts, hundreds of learners have engaged with educational opportunities tailored to support their individual goals, whether for upskilling, personal growth, or re-entering the workforce.

As we wrap up another impactful academic cycle, the Directorate is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Lifelong Learning Prospectus 2025–2026 end of June. This prospectus introduces a refreshed portfolio of courses aligned with national priorities, individual aspirations, and community development needs. The prospectus 2025-2026 also offers detailed insight into our wide-ranging programme of study.

While Course Applications will open from the 1st of July and will close on the 8th of August 2025.
