The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College (MAVC), Malta School of Drama and Dance proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its young dancers who have successfully qualified, for the second consecutive year, through the Malta Qualifying Competition to participate in the Dance World Cup Finals, which this year will be held in Dublin.
Deputy Head of School Ms. Moira Navarro explained that the students’ Quartet Ballet is composed of Faith Mifsud, Jody Grech, Julia Lombardi and Nina Galea, while the Small Group Ballet includes Alessia Piscopo, Carla Zammit, Elena Caruana, Elona Romanczuk, Hailey Mifsud, Krista Mae Pace, Kyra Huang, Mikela Romanczuk and Nuanxin Tang.
This significant milestone is the result of sustained dedication, discipline and artistic commitment. Through their hard work, these dancers have represented the School with elegance and confidence and will now carry that same spirit onto the international stage.

Head of School Alan Fenech remarked:
“Qualifying for an international competition is no small feat. It reflects not only technical excellence and artistic expression, but also the courage to perform under pressure and the determination to pursue excellence beyond borders.”
The College warmly congratulates the dancers, their ballet teacher Ms Olga Cefai, and their families on this remarkable success. As preparations continue for the international finals in Dublin, the College and the Malta School of Drama and Dance wishes them every success and looks forward to supporting them as they represent Malta on the world stage.
