Tuesday 21st March 2023 is World Down Syndrome Awareness Day. As a preparation for this occasion, St Theresa College Birkirkara Primary School’s Y3.3 Yellow prepared a special assembly about this topic under the guidance of class teacher Ms Elaine Portelli and the LSEs Ms Lianne and Ms Nathalie. Pupils were encouraged to do their own research at home about this topic. Parents were very cooperative.
The presentation ended with the song ”Ħdejja” by The Travellers with a strong message about inclusion, which is one of the core values of the school together with Respect, Resilience, Care and Honesty.
