The Ministry for Education published a press release refuting claims that there are alarming numbers of teacher shortages as state school re-opened on Wednesday.
This is the full statement:
The ministry would like to strongly refute any statements made saying there are shortages of teachers in state schools. In over 100 state schools, which in total employ over 3,600 teachers, there are currently only three vacancies in total.
Two of these were due to resignations submitted in the past days. All three vacancies are expected to be filled this week. This shows that the alarming statements made are simply baseless.
