Last Friday, 16th July, the CEO of the Malta Libraries, Madam Cheryl Falzon and Deputy Librarian Madam Maroma Camilleri, were officially presented with a copy of the Science China Corner memoir booklet by the Director of the China Cultural Centre Mr Yang Xiaolong and Senior Science teacher Mr Martin Azzopardi. Present also was Ms Chen Wenxian, Chief Correspondent of the Valletta Bureau of the Xinhua News Agency of China. The memoir booklet presentation event was held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Science China Corner at St. Margaret’s College Secondary School Verdala Cospicua.
The memoir booklet is a compilation of the main student’s articles published through these past 10 years and was fully funded by the Malta China Cultural Centre. Throughout these years a bridge of knowledge has been built between Maltese students and China thanks to the many research study projects held in the Science China Corner. The corner was founded by Mr Azzopardi in collaboration with the China Cultural Centre and the China Embassy in Malta as a Montessori method of teaching Science and Technology.
