Jiggradwaw seba’ Mexxejja tal-Għalliema tar-Reading Recovery

L-Aġenzija Nazzjonali tal-Litteriżmu tifraħ lis-seba’ mexxejja tal-għalliema tar-Reading Recovery Anna Vassallo, Doreen Scerri, Eleanor Vella, Janet Maria Cristina, Roberta Galea, Rosanne Delceppo, u Rosanne Talbot, fl-okkażjoni tal-gradwazzjoni organizzata b’mod virtwali mill-UCL (University College London).

Il-programm Reading Recovery joffri intervent bikri msejjes fuq riċerka empirika għal tfal li wara sena ta’ skola ma jkunux mexjin bl-istess pass tal-oħrajn fil-qari u fil-kitba.  Il-biċċa l-kbira tat-tfal jirnexxilhom jilħqu l-livell mistenni minnhom fl-età tagħhom f’perjodu ta’ żmien qasir u ma jibqgħux jeħtieġu għajnuna addizzjonali. Il-Mexxejja tal-Għalliema jirċievu taħriġ ta’ livell għoli (programm ta’ Masters) fit-tagħlim tal-litteriżmu u t-tagħlim ta’ tfal żgħar. Taħt id-direzzjoni tal-Aġenzija, huma jħarrġu lill-għalliema prospettivi tar-Reading Recovery.

The graduation of seven Reading Recovery Teacher Leaders

The National Literacy Agency congratulates the seven Reading Recovery teacher leaders Anna Vassallo, Doreen Scerri, Eleanor Vella, Janet Maria Cristina, Roberta Galea, Rosanne Delceppo, and Rosanne Talbot, on their graduation which was organised virtually by UCL (University College London).

Reading Recovery is an evidence-based early intervention for children who are not getting underway with reading and writing after one year in school. Most children catch up to age-expected levels in a short period of time and no longer need extra help. Reading Recovery teacher leaders receive a high level of training (at Masters level) about literacy learning and teaching of young children. Under the aegis of the Agency, they train prospective Reading Recovery teachers.
