Il-Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb (KNK) bi pjaċir iħabbar id-dati tal-Festival tal-Ktieb fuq il-Kampus 2023, li dis-sena se jittella’ bejn l-Erbgħa 22 u l-Ġimgħa 24 ta’ Marzu fil-Kwadranglu tal-Università ta’ Malta.
Kampus Kotba jlaqqa’ taħt saqaf wieħed għadd ta’ esebituri lokali – minn pubblikaturi stabbiliti sa ħwienet tal-kotba u NGOs – għal tlitt ijiem ta’ bejgħ u xiri ta’ kotba mżewġin ma’ programm ta’ attivitajiet miftuħ għall-pubbliku ġenerali waqt li mmirat speċifikament għal dak studentesk.
It-tema speċjali ta’ din l-edizzjoni se tkun il-Premju Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb, u l-programm se jkun xhieda ta’ dan b’intervisti u skambji letterarji li jonoraw uħud mir-rebbieħa riċenti. Barra minn hekk ma jonqsux diskussjonijiet tematiċi attwali, ngħidu aħna dwar iċ-ChatGPT. Il-pubbliku se jkun mistieden bħala protagonist permezz ta’ workshops ta’ kitba kreattiva u illustrazzjoni, klabbs tal-kotba, u qari ta’ letteratura, bħall-Poeżija Slam, qari ta’ siltiet inediti LGBTIQ+, u s-soltu Palk Ħieles organizzat ma’ Inizjamed.
L-element kollaborattiv huwa karatteristika ta’ Kampus Kotba bħala spazju li jippromwovi l-iskambju tal-ideat bejn l-istudenti, l-għalliema, u l-professjonisti mill-qasam tal-pubblikazzjoni. Dis-sena l-KNK ħadem ma’ għaqdiet studenteski, dipartimenti universitarji, għaqdiet mhux governattivi, u entitajiet oħra sabiex ifassal il-Festival u l-attivitajiet, fosthom THINK Magazine, il-Kunsill Malti għall-Arti, l-Għaqda tal-Malti – Università, id-Dipartiment tal-Ingliż, id-Dipartiment tal-Intelliġenza Artifiċjali, Islanders’ Book Club u LGBTI+ Gozo.
Il-programm tal-attivitajiet ikun ippubblikat fil-jiem li ġejjin. Xi attivitajiet trid tirreġistra għalihom. Għal aktar dettalji żuru www.ktieb.org.mt jew il-paġna ta’ Facebook tal-KNK. Il-ħinijiet tal-ftuħ huma l-Erbgħa u l-Ħamis bejn id-9am u l-4pm, u l-Ġimgħa bejn id-9am u s-7pm.
The 2023 Campus Book Festival – announcing the date and theme of this year’s edition
The National Book Council (NBC) is proud to announce that Kampus Kotba, the 2023 Campus Book Festival, will be held between Wednesday 22 March and Friday 24 March at the University of Malta Quadrangle.
The Campus Book Festival brings together several local exhibitors – varying from established publishers to bookshops and NGOs – for three days of events and book browsing opportunities. The cultural programme’s main target are students, but also events are open to the general public.
This year’s edition will be celebrating Maltese literature, and in particular some of the winners of the 2022 National Book prize. The Festival’s programme will be testament to this through interviews and literary exchanges. Furthermore, the Festival will also open discussions certain hot topics such as the uses of ChatGPT and its repercussions in academia and publishing. The public will be invited to participate in a number of activities such as workshops in creative writing and illustration, book clubs and literature readings, including the annual Palk Ħieles Campus event organised by Inizjamed.
