L-AĦĦAR BASTIMENT: Stories from the Grand Harbour is a new multidisciplinary live production by Mikiel Anton Vassalli College (MAVC), conceived as a professional artistic triptych that brings together a short musical, a short play with music, and a contemporary dance work.
Each of the three pieces is inspired by human and historical narratives rooted in Malta’s iconic Grand Harbour, exploring memory, movement, and identity through different artistic languages.
The production will feature Orkestra Maxime from Katowice, Poland, as its principal orchestra, continuing the College’s commitment to international artistic collaboration following a series of successful cross-border projects.
Blending music, visual arts, drama, movement, and dance, L-AĦĦAR BASTIMENT- Stories from the Grand Harbour offers participating learners a rare opportunity to work within a professional creative environment. Under the artistic direction of established directors, choreographers and musicians; learners will engage in an intensive artistic process that mirrors real-world production practice and professional performance standards.
