Every year, initiatives that promote health awareness remind us of the importance of prevention, early detection, and community support. This March, the Transplant Support Group is proud to host Kidney Awareness Week 2026, a dedicated initiative aimed at educating the public, encouraging healthier lifestyles, and highlighting the life-changing impact of organ donation.
Kidney Awareness Week, will take place from Monday 9th to Friday 13th March 2026. Kidney Awareness Week will be hosted at the MDH Foyer between 8:00am and 1:00pm, during which free health checks will be offered to the general public, alongside the ability to register as an organ donor. The initiative aims to raise awareness on kidney health, early detection, prevention, and the importance of organ donation, while encouraging the public to take a proactive role in safeguarding their health.
The awareness week will conclude with the Kidney Awareness Fun Walk on Sunday 15th March 2026, intended as a family-friendly event to promote healthy living, solidarity, and community engagement. Further details are available in the attached posters.
