Learning Together at Hamrun Primary School

Congratulations Ms Charmaine Attard!

Once again Malta is listed amongst other European countries who have made it to the eTwinning European Prizes.

Ms Charmaine is a kindergarten educator teaching at San Gorg Preca College Hamrun Primary School. She is the runner-up of the eTwinning European prize 2021 of the Up to Six Category.  This year a total of 870 projects were submitted of which a number qualified for the European Quality Label – these were then again evaluated for the final eTwinning Prizes.

Ms Charmaine and her kindergarten class along with her partner countries within the project namely Italy, Turkey and Portugal collaborated in their project: S.T.E.A.M-tastic

The project has been recognized for the outstanding efforts to bring innovation in the classrooms of Europe!

Winners and runners-up will be officially awarded during the eTwinning Annual Conference later in October this year by officials from the eTwinning Central Support Service, Eurpean Schoolnet and the European Commission.

About the project:

“S.T.E.A.M-tastic” was an eTwinning project, during which students from Kinder 2 of Ħamrun SS Primary school together with their foreign partners, collaborated & created activities related to science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.These activities have been collected in an ebook which is filled with photos & links, along with simple steps on how the activities were executed successfully. Now more than ever this book can be beneficial for both educators and guardians which students can do in the comfort of their own homes.
