Three Doses of Happiness

Everyone wants to be happy, whether knowingly or not.

Over the past fifty years economic researchers have been trying to create mathematical equations, in their quest to figure out what makes us happy. Although there is still a lot that remains undiscovered, science is starting to give us some answers about what the pluses and minuses to happiness are.

We would like to suggest three ‘doses’ that science shows us can boost our happiness and help us lead better lives:

  • Voluntary work
  • Physical exercise
  • Religious/spiritual activity

If any of these three activities is missing in your life, then you know what you need to do. Summer is not over yet, so get going!
