The National Literacy Agency organised the third edition of the Festival for Writing Stars of Middle Schools on 1st and 2nd December 2023. Forty-eight Year 8 students attending both state and non-state middle schools were awarded for their creative writing skills by participating in writing workshops conducted by renowned Maltese and British authors. Outstanding writing stars’ writings will be featured in the bilingual book ‘Mill-Pinna tal-Brillantini tal-Kitba 3’. The students were awarded books, a certificate, and a trophy.
A heartfelt congratulations to two of our Year 8 students from St Theresa Middle School, Melissa Farrugia and Luna Liliana Caruana, who received the Writing Stars award in 2023.
