From the 7th April – 12th April , a group of Year 10 students from Kirkop Secondary School participated in the Erasmus + Mobility at Carmona, Seville in Spain. This mobility was coordinated by the St. Benedict College Office of the Head College Network as part of the Erasmus Accreditation.
The students were accompanied by their Biology teacher Mr. Matthew Agius and their assistant Head Ms. Alberta Bugeja. They participated in a number of ecological projects related to local conservation.
They also visited the mayor in Carmona and together with the Spanish students and educators from both schools they presented the mayor and the local community representatives the nest boxes which were built during this mobility. These nest boxes will be strategically placed in church towers and will provide shelter to the endangered krestels that rest in Carmona.
This was surely an experience that they will treasure for years to come!!
