Due to the high demand we have extended application closing date to 31st August 2024.
DLE is offering a selection of over 400 courses to anyone aged 15+ offered during the morning, afternoon or online available here www.lifelonglearning.gov.mt. These courses are FREE or against a small fee as follows:
- Essential Skills in Maltese, Maltese as a Foreign Language, English, English as a Foreign Language, Sign Language, Mathematics, Digital Skills, Media Literacy and Personal Finance. These courses are free of charge.
- Language Learning e.g. Italian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Russian.
- Improving Education and Career Prospects e.g. Accounting, Organic Horticulture, Electrical Installation, Human Resource Management, Interior Design, Marketing and Child Development.
- Healthy Living including Cooking Techniques, Personal Empowerment and Successful Ageing
- Creative Expression including Basic Digital Photography, Introduction to Cake Decoration, Gilding, Mosaic, Sewing Basics, Pottery and Ceramics and Gold and Silver Smithing.
We would like to point out that:
- We are offering Maltese and English flexible courses (a blend of live and recorded lessons) for shift workers.
- We offer self-paced courses.
- Anyone aged 60+ is exempted from paying for their first course.
- Applicants passing through social problems and who present a signed cover letter from a relevant institution (Social Security Office, AWAS, etc.) can request to be exempted from the course fee.
- We offer a guidance service for applicants who may need assistance in choosing the appropriate course, subject and level.
