Celebrating 20 Years of St. Benedict College Secondary School: A Milestone of Unity and Progress

This scholastic year marks a significant milestone for St. Benedict College Secondary School as it celebrates its 20th anniversary since opening its doors in 2005. Over the past two decades, the school has grown into a hub of learning, community, and shared values, shaping the lives of many students. To commemorate this special occasion, a variety of events and activities will be organized throughout the year, engaging students, staff, and the entire school community in this celebration of educational excellence and achievement.

One of the key highlights of the celebrations is the creation of a special logo to represent the 20th anniversary. This logo will be used across all official festivities, symbolizing the unity and continuity that has characterized St. Benedict College since its founding.

The 20th Anniversary Logo Design

The newly designed anniversary logo was created by the school Art Teacher Mr Simon Camilleri based on the design by ex student Miguel Samuel.  It beautifully incorporates the school’s signature blue and orange colors. These colors have long been emblematic of St. Benedict College, representing its values of trust, strength, and creativity.

The number “20” is central to the design, Inside the “0,” a smaller orange circle houses a simplified figure of a person raising their arms in celebration, reflecting the joy and enthusiasm of the occasion. This figure symbolizes not only the celebration of the school’s 20-year journey but also the spirit of achievement and community that has flourished within its walls.  It is also the end part of St. Benedict’s cross that is prominently featured in the St. Benedict College logo.

Beneath the number “20,” the years “2005 – 2025” are inscribed in white on a blue curved band. This visual element serves as a reminder of the two decades of growth, learning, and shared experiences, bridging the past and the future of St. Benedict College.

The use of blue and orange, the school’s official colors, in both the logo and overall design, reinforces a sense of continuity. Blue stands for stability, wisdom, and trust—the core values of education and learning—while orange represents creativity, enthusiasm, and energy, all of which are essential to fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

As the school community comes together to celebrate 20 years of educational excellence, the logo will serve as a symbol of the school’s achievements, its commitment to unity, and the promising future that lies ahead. Let this year of festivities be a reminder of the incredible journey thus far and the continued commitment to inspiring future generations.

Happy 20th Anniversary, St. Benedict College! Here’s to many more years of success and growth.
