A Buzzing Adventure on the Big Screen: ĊiNAĦLIET

Students from Year 3 classes across Malta and Gozo were invited for a special cinema experience featuring the Maltese cartoon ĊiNAĦLIET. This cartoon, produced by the National Literacy Agency, brings the world of bees to life through vibrant animation and engaging storytelling. Set in Malta’s picturesque countryside, the story follows the adventures of 4 bees as they navigate challenges, celebrate teamwork, and highlight the importance of preserving the environment. This cartoon not only entertained but also offered exposure to the Maltese language to young audiences.

The event was organised as part of an educational initiative to foster the love and appreciation for the Maltese language in primary school students. Teachers and students alike enjoyed a fun morning where the children immersed themselves in the lively characters and colourful world of ĊiNAĦLIET.

In addition to the school groups, children in Year 2 and their families were also invited to attend this activity. The public screening allowed younger children to enjoy a big-screen experience, both in Malta and Gozo, while introducing them to Maltese storytelling.

The response was positive, with parents, educators and students praising the cartoon for its educational content.

The cartoon series, called Ġnien in-Naħliet, is available for free viewing on the Agency’s YouTube Channel.
