On February 25, 2025, the spirit of the Malta School Games (MSG) shone brightly as the ceremonial torch made its way from San Gorg Preca College to St. Thomas More College, marking another milestone in this exciting new tradition.
The journey began with students from San Gorg Preca College carrying the torch and MSG flags on foot from Ġnien tac-Ċiniżi to St. Lucia Secondary School. Their dedication and enthusiasm reflected the core values of the Games—teamwork, perseverance, and school pride.
As the torchbearers arrived at St. Lucia, they were met with an energetic and warm welcome from St. Thomas More students. The handover ceremony took place in the school’s gymnasium, where two students from St. Lucia delivered inspiring motivational speeches, emphasizing the power of sports to unite and inspire young minds.
Following the official handover, the event concluded on an energetic note with a series of fitness exercises and a collaborative dance performance, reinforcing the importance of an active lifestyle and teamwork.
