On Thursday, 27th February the students of Marsaxlokk Primary walked from the school to Marsaxlokk beach carrying the torch and MSG flag.
Upon reaching the beach, students from the Birzebbugia Sailing Club representing state, church and independent schools eagerly took over the next leg of the journey. Boarding their boats, they set sail across the water, transporting the torch with great excitement to Pretty Bay. The sight of the torch gliding across the sea was a powerful representation of teamwork and perseverance.
At Pretty Bay, the torch was received by students from Birzebbugia Primary, St. Benedict College, who carried it with pride through the streets to their school. As they arrived, they were met with warm welcomes, motivational speeches, and an atmosphere filled with encouragement and inspiration.
The celebrations continued in the schoolyard, where students engaged in an energetic and uplifting Zumba session. The rhythmic beats and lively movements brought joy to all, making for a memorable conclusion to the event. This remarkable relay not only symbolized the passing of the torch but also the spirit of collaboration, determination, and celebration within the school community.
