The National Literacy Agency’s Reading Stars campaign, sponsored by Merlin Library, is in full swing! This initiative promotes a love for reading anytime, anywhere and encourages schools, teachers, and parents to nominate children and teens who are passionate about books.
Nominees will take part in the I Am a Reading Star competition by sharing their love for reading in creative ways. They can:
- Write about their favourite books or authors
- Illustrate a scene or draw their favourite character
- Create a short video talking about a book or author they love
- Describe and share photos of their favourite reading spot
- Act out a scene from a book
- Surprise us with their creativity!
Entries can be submitted via the nomination form or by email at [email protected]. Outstanding submissions will be rewarded with a book voucher and featured on the Reading Stars Facebook page.
Past winners have wowed us with fanfiction, stop-motion animations, and even a feast inspired by Roald Dahl’s stories! Now, it’s your turn to shine.
