Media MVPA students recently organised and held a conference entitled “Careers in Tourism for the Arts” at the Portomaso Suite Hilton, with the support of Arts Council Malta and the Malta Tourism Foundation. The conference formed part of the Malta Tourism Forum.
Following a series of preparatory workshops, the students were responsible for every aspect of the event themselves, including event planning, video and photography coverage, video production, and the design of banners and logos. An international panel of speakers from the tourism and arts sectors took part, giving students the opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into different career opportunities within the industry.
The conference was developed as part of the “Conference in Creation” project and was funded through the Arts in Schools programme by Arts Council Malta.
