The Education Resources Directorate (ERD) has successfully organised the second induction seminar for this scholastic year, welcoming fifty-two Supply Teachers engaged after September 2025. The programme covered key areas designed to equip Supply Teachers with the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to thrive in their new roles.
The Curriculum Directorate facilitated subject-specific sessions during which educators met with their respective Education Officers (EOs). These meetings addressed essential aspects of teaching, including subject content and delivery, Broad Learning Outcomes (BLOs), and Malta’s assessment framework—including formative, continuous, and summative evaluation methods.
The provision of professional learning remains a priority for the People Management Department, ensuring that all educators receive high-quality training that supports excellence in teaching and learning of all students. In line with this commitment, the department continuous to encourage Supply Teachers to further their studies by enrolling for a Teaching Qualification course.
