L- Aġenzija Żgħażagħ organiżżat iċ-ċerimonja tal-għoti taċ-ċertifikati għall-programm Premju għad-Demokrazija lill-kunsill tal-istudenti Dan il- programm għandu l-għan li jsaħħaħ il-valuri demokratiċi fost il-kunsill tal-istudenti ġewwa skejjel sekondarji u post-sekonadarji. B’kollox ħadu sehem 289 student minn 29 skola differenti minn madwar Malta u Għawdex. Għaċ-ċerimonja kien preżenti l- Onorevoli Keith Azzoppardi Tanti, Segretarju Parlamentari għaż-Żgħażagħ, ir-Riċerka u l-Innovazzjoni.
Il-programm Premju għad-Demokrazija lill-kunsill tal-istudenti jippremja il-ħidma tal-kunsill tal-istudenti bi tliet gradi ta’ ċertifikati; id-deheb, il- fidda u l-bronż. Il-progamm jevalwa wkoll id-diversi ħiliet li wera l-kunsill tal- istudenti f’oqsma differenti bħat -tmexxija, l-organiżżazzjoni, l-ippjanar u l-inklużjoni fost l- oħrajn. Din is-sena kien hemm 10 skejjel li kkwalifikaw għad-deheb, 9 għall- fidda u 11 għall-bronż.
Programmi bħal Premju għad-Demokrazija lill-kunsill tal-istudenti, ikomplu jinċentivaw l- parteċipazzjoni attiva taż-żgħażagħ daqskemm l-involviment tagħhom f’ oqsma differenti ta’ tmexxija; elementi important f’ demokrazija ħajja.

Ten schools awarded the Gold Student Council’s Democracy Awards
Aġenzija Żgħażagħ held its annual certificate award ceremony for the Student Councils Democracy Awards programme. This programme aims to develop democratic values among student council members both in secondary and post-secondary schools. A total of 289 students from 29 different schools from Malta and Gozo took part in this program. Honourable Keith Azzopardi Tanti, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation was also present for the ceremony.
The Student Council’s Democracy Awards recognises the work of student councils through a three-graded certification system: gold, silver, and bronze. The programme also evaluates the various skills student council members develop during their tenure such as leadership, organisation, planning, and inclusion to name a few. For this year 10 schools were awarded a gold certificate, 9 were awarded silver and 11 were awarded bronze.
