Footballer’s Read and Write Programme

In October 2023, the National Literacy Agency kicked off the 11^th cycle of the Footballers’ Read and Write Programme / Bil-Qari u l-Kitba Niskorja (FRWP) in 11 primary and 2 secondary schools. The aim of this programme is to inspire a love of reading and writing amongst students. Past cycles have shown that the majority of participants improved their reading skills by the end of the programme. The FRWP sessions combine the children’s love and passion for football with reading and writing, thus motivating them to read and better their overall language skills. FRWP is currently being organized in the following schools:
