On Tuesday 13th August 2024, our students had the pleasure of welcoming two volunteers from the SPCA, who visited our classes to educate them on how to care for their pets. The volunteers were accompanied by a wonderful dog named Olivia, who quickly became the star of the day.
One of the volunteers delivered an engaging PowerPoint presentation, covering essential tips and practices for pet care. The students were highly interested in the topic and thoroughly enjoyed the informative session. The highlight of the visit was when the students were given the opportunity to interact with Olivia. Her friendly nature and calm demeanour made her an instant favourite, and the students were thrilled to be able to pat her.
As a gesture of kindness, our students offered a hamper full of cat and dog food, which they had brought themselves, to the SPCA volunteers. This generous contribution was warmly received and will go a long way in supporting the animals under the SPCA’s care.
Overall, it was a truly enriching experience for our students. They not only learned valuable lessons about responsible pet ownership but also enjoyed the chance to connect with Olivia and contribute to a great cause.
Thank you to the SPCA and the volunteers for providing this wonderful experience.
