Another edition of the Cittadella Maths Trail took place on 14th April, 2025. This initiative, organised by the mathematics teachers at Gozo College Ninu Cremona Secondary School, aims to give students the opportunity to apply the mathematical concepts they learn in the classroom to real-life situations.
Around sixty Year 10 students participated in the event. Divided into groups, the students engaged in a series of collaborative tasks spread across various locations within Cittadella -including the main square, the surrounding streets, the bastions, the Archaeology Museum, and the Gran Castello Historic House.
Throughout the trail, students tackled a variety of challenges that required them to use their problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills. The event highlights how Mathematics is present in everyday life, helping students see it as both practical and relevant. In addition to reinforcing mathematical concepts, the trail promotes teamwork and critical thinking.
