Celebrating the Launch of the book – Students’ Voices about Wellbeing

What an incredible journey it’s been! We are thrilled to celebrate the launch of the book Students’ Voices about Wellbeing, a collaborative project with the Institute for Education (IfE), highlighting the creativity, insight, and authenticity of our students.
This initiative kicked off with a powerful performance ethnography featuring four original role-plays written and performed by the students themselves — The Sleepover, Friends Forever in Rough Seas, Book Signing, and Cheating. These moving narratives reflected real-life experiences and concerns, sparking deep conversations about friendship, honesty, peer pressure and belonging.
After each performance, students openly shared their reasons for choosing these themes, the morale behind their stories, and their own thoughtful suggestions for change. Their reflections were followed by an engaging panel and audience discussion — a session packed with heartfelt moments and thought-provoking insights… truly, food for thought.
The event continued with the official launch and distribution of the book, the presentation of certificates, and heartfelt appreciation for all those who made this programme possible.
To enrich the day even further, 8 parallel workshops led by qualified therapists offered students practical tools for wellbeing through dance, art, mindfulness, creativity, and more. As a fitting close, students joyfully shared their workshop experiences and left with a wristband carrying a positive message — a small reminder of a big day.
This initiative stands in alignment with the Wellbeing Pillar of Malta’s National Education Strategy, reinforcing our commitment to creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for every learner to flourish.
A special thanks goes to the dedicated team at the IfE, the Wellbeing Committee Members, Heads of School, PSCD teams, and the ever-helpful ancillary staff at the College Administration Centre. Your collaboration made this vision a reality.
Together, we’re shaping education with heart — where student voices matter and wellbeing is a priority.
