The Malta Visual and Performing Arts School continues to achieve success in the field of student filmmaking, as Klara, a short film produced by Year 11 Media students, won the award for Best Maltese Short Film at the Medezfest Film Festival. This marks the second time that MVPA students have received this prestigious award.
Over the past three years, MVPA Media students have earned six awards in various categories, including Best Short Film and Best Cinematography, highlighting the school’s growing reputation for excellence in media education and filmmaking. This year also marked another important milestone, as Klara achieved its first official selection at an international film festival outside Malta, further showcasing the talent and creativity of the students on an international platform.
