Zabbar Primary School B – Empowering Leaders through International Job Shadowing

Recently, two members of the senior leadership team at Zabbar Primary B successfully concluded transformative job shadowing experiences in the Netherlands and Greece. These experiences focused on innovative pedagogies and provided valuable understanding of diverse educational contexts. They aligned perfectly with the school’s commitment to strengthen the professional learning community and elevating the profile of its educators through participation in international projects as part of the school’s Erasmus+ programme.

In the Netherlands, the experience focused on the Jenaplan concept, renowned for its emphasis on community, co-operation, and holistic student development. The experience provided valuable insights into this innovative educational concept while validating initiatives at Zabbar B. The experience also provided an insight into current educational research with a focus on educators’ professional development.

In Greece, the job shadowing experience focused on sharing best practices and critical reflection, allowing the team to gain a deeper understanding of successful teaching methodologies and implement them within their own educational framework.

As one of the first schools to receive the Erasmus+ accreditation in 2020, these job shadowing experiences are part of the school’s Erasmus+ programme. They continue to support a dynamic and globally connected learning environment, in line with the school’s mission of providing a high-quality education and a meaningful teaching and learning experience for all.
