Congratulations go to one of our Year 4 students, Kelsey Dean, who has placed 2nd in The Hunt: Kid’s Virtual Science Quest 2021, a Virtual Science Quest for Year 4 pupils. Kelsey was awarded a Science Kit kindly sponsored by the HSBC Malta Foundation. This STEM initiative was organised by the Science Centre within the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes while Kelsey was actively encouraged by her Virtual School teacher Ms Isabel Debono.
This week we were also informed that another of our students, Charlotte Calleja emerged the Year 6 class winner in the ‘Raddiena Kliem’ activity organised by the National Literacy Agency. This was a session of approximately an hour long, consisting of 3 spelling games in Maltese. The third and last game ‘Ir-Raddiena Kliem’ was a competition, where the students were given a few letters and they were asked to form as many words as possible combining these letters while obeying a set of rules. Charlotte Calleja managed to form the largest number of words and so was the class winner. Our congratulations go to Charlotte and to all the teachers and Learning Support Educators who support our learners.
